Search Franklin County Court Records

The portal covers electronic trial-court records for all Idaho counties, including Franklin County, and the iCourt FAQ says public and media users do not need to register for normal public access. What Franklin County Court Records Show
Public Franklin County court records are not the same as a full clerk file. iCourt public access can show party indexes, new filing listings, chronological case summaries, case status, calendars, dockets, case captions, hearing dates, hearing times, and hearing locations. The portal omits personal identifiers such as social security numbers, addresses, phone numbers, driver license numbers, financial account numbers, and other personal ID numbers. Sealed cases, sealed records, and ICAR 32-exempt information do not appear in public search results.

Extended access is not ordinary public access, so most Franklin County users should rely on public iCourt, the kiosk, or the clerk request process.
Franklin County Court Records Access
Idaho's public-record framework starts with a presumption of access. Idaho Code 74-102 states the general right to inspect and copy public records unless a law provides otherwise. Court records are also governed by the Idaho Supreme Court's court-record access rules, including Idaho Court Administrative Rule 32. The Franklin County records request form adds the local fee and timing details. Copies are listed at $1.00 per page. Certified documents are $2.00 per document. A specific hearing audio request is $12.00 on a flash drive. Files before October 1, 2018 require an additional $20.00 nonrefundable research fee when requested. The form says requested information may take up to three business days, and if the material is not available in that period, written notice is provided under Idaho Code 9-339.

Restricted Franklin County Court Records
Not every Franklin County court record is public online. The iCourt portal states that sealed cases and information exempt by court order or ICAR 32 do not appear in public portal results. The FAQ says public access excludes social security numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, motor vehicle operator license numbers, financial account numbers, and other personal identification numbers. Juvenile court records have separate limits under Idaho Code 20-525, and law-enforcement or investigatory material may be limited under Idaho Code 74-105.
A missing iCourt result does not prove that a Franklin County case never existed. The record may be sealed, outside the electronic range, entered under a variant name, restricted by law, or available only through the courthouse. Public users generally cannot self-register to see sealed records. A person seeking access to a restricted file must use the clerk or court process that applies to the case type, and a person seeking to limit public access should start with Idaho Court Assistance forms or local clerk filing instructions.
